WP Descriptive Name Explorer (WPDName) has been tested on Microsoft Corporation's Windows XP and 32-bit Windows Vista. I have had a steep learning curve with my recent switch to Vista, so I can only hope it works well for you under this operating system. One user has told me that WPDName runs fine on Windows 98 SE, but had problems on Win95 and Win98.

 

The program is not yet available as native 64-bit code. However, as far as I know, it should run on 64-bit systems as a 32-bit program.
